The Bici Bicycle Cooperative has a goal to create easy and equal access to cycling by providing affordable bicycles, maintenance services, and education, as well as a forum for sharing bicycle knowledge, activism and community.
Bike cooperatives are not a new idea, and are present in many major cities throughout the world. The initial organizers of Bici believed that Birmingham needed a place for everyone interested in bikes, from cycling enthusiasts to those who might not know how to ride a bike but need reliable transportation, to come together under the common goal of making Birmingham a more bike friendly city.
Bici is working toward this goal primarily through our bike shop, which is open Monday and Thursday from 6pm to 8pm. Bici also supports regular group rides, races, and community events. Additionally, Bici hopes to create programs to get the community youth on bikes. For more information, check out the programs page!
Bici is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Donate to us and get a tax receipt!
