Bici news update
The board of Bici had an amazing time at Bike!Bike! SE 2011 this past weekend. We learned lots about bikes and how to get organized - the history of bikes in America, fund raising, customer service, carbon bike building, and tons of other good stuff! We also hung out with some old friends from previous conferences, and met some wonderful new people. Thanks so much to everyone who helped get us there; we’ve come back rejuvenated and ready to continue our bicycle revolution!
So much fun was had that we decided that Bike!Bike! SE 2012 must come to BIRMINGHAM!! So get ready for Bici to host next year. It’s going to be the best yet.

Now on to some sad news; Elisa Munoz, one of the Bici founders, is moving to New Orleans at the end of this week to start work as a farmers market coordinator. SO exciting for her, but man are we depressed about her leaving. On the positive side, there are some great bike cooperatives there that could really use her help, so we look forward to hearing all about what she’ll be getting into down there. Elisa will continue to serve on the Bici board.
To help send her off in style we’re having a farewell party this Wednesday the 30th at Jones Valley Urban Farm, which starts at 7. Bring a snack and some beer to share!
Bike love!
