Bici Coop is hosting the 2012 Bike!Bike!SE conference March 23/24/25. We’re so so excited! Our opening night event is going to be March 23 at Bottletree Cafe - GOLD SPRINTS!! This video is a great example of what Gold Sprints is like. True, they’re French, but you get the idea. It’s going to be AMAZING.

Mardi Gras, Bici style!

The Magic City is bringing Mardi Gras back! Since the theme of Mardi Gras is “Laissez les bons temps rouler”, we need to let the good times ROLL, baby! Bikes and parades go hand in hand, so Bici will have a “float” tomorrow night.

Come out on your bike, wear something crazy and ride with us. Show everyone that we do exist, we do ride and we are AWESOME!

The parade starts at 8, but Line-Up Starts at 7PM on March 8th just past Tom & Jerrys Chevron and close to Sneaky Pete’s on Highland Ave South. I’ll try to be there at 7, so please come on down between 7-8. Gotta freak bike? Bring it on! The crazier, the better.

No bike? Come on down and watch the parade…cheer for us and join in the revelry.

See you tomorrow! BICI LOVE FOREVER.

A few folks are meeting up this Sunday to go to the Ramble taking place at Railroad Park. This event is created to help report on your walk/run/ride/etc experience from your starting point, a way to get the word out about road conditions and what you would like to see for the city’s future as a more pedestrian/bicycling friendly city. Go! Be heard!
This group will be meeting at 2525 Highland Avenue at 12:30, and then riding to the park.  A picnic is planned so bring a lunch!

Bike Valet at The Show at Woodlawn

Bici will be providing Bike Valet at Birmingham Art Collectives The Show at Woodlawn. We are excited to be involved with such an event in our city. “The Birmingham Art Collective works to help artists, designers, photographers, writers, musicians, actors, and other creatives in Birmingham promote themselves and their work.” (from their website)

This show will be a chance to introduce people to Woodlawn, a neighborhood in our dear city.

Providing Bike Valet is encouraging people to get to know that neighborhood in a way that you just can’t get in a car.

How does it work?

You ride your bike to the show, bring us your bike, get a ticket…that’s it! We keep your bike safe and you get to bypass the parking hassle and do a good thing at the same time. You will be able to ride right up to the door! How can you turn that down?

What’s that…you want the details? Well, ok:
